Permanent epilation
Definition and objectives
Epilation can be used on any part of the body and for all skin types. There are therefore no precautions to be taken with skin with a high phototype or olive skin. The latest generation laser is used as this has the advantage of maximum patient comfort as there is no pain. The procedure has spectacular results.
Prior to the procedure
Facial rejuvenation treatment specific to each person will be offered based on:
Skin analysis in terms of:
- skin type and quality,
- degree of skin alteration caused by the sun,
- cutaneous elasticity,
- pigment and vascular lesions,
- toxic status (refer to exposure to smoking/UV/pollution and lifestyle),
- dermatological check-up to screen for precancerous or skin cancer conditions.
Other parts of the body (hands, decolletage…) are also examined.
A combination of techniques:
- IPL, mesotherapy, radiofrequency, peeling and LED.
Repair principles:
- re-establishment of the dermis’ physiological function,
- reduction in free radicals (which cause cell damage and lesions),
- absence of side effects.
Desired result
This overall treatment plan leads to a harmonious and long-lasting result.
The procedure
No photosensitizing medication should be taken. It is advisable not to expose skin to the sun for 5 days prior to the procedure and to attend the session with shaved skin.
The mode of energy release and the manual scanning technique mean the same zone is not passed over twice in the case where the zone to be epilated has not been totally covered.
The session lasts 5 to 10 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated.
Result
On average 4 to 7 sessions are necessary with intervals of 2 months between sessions.
This epilation technique has an important advantage: it does not leave scars contrary to electric epilation.
Patients satisfaction and comfort are better than with conventional medical epilation methods.
